Vallejo’s longest running poetry open mic returns to a live in person show starting March 22, 2023. Every 4th Wednesday at 7 PM at the Mira Theater at 51 Daniels Street in Vallejo, California. Daniels is located off of Mare Island Way on exit 18 from highway 37. Keith Thompson is the show host.

History:
The Vallejo California based open mic Poetry by the Bay was founded on August 14th, 2008 by Kyrah Ayers. The group first met at Panama Red Cafe on the Vallejo Waterfront. In 2014 they moved to the Hub art gallery where they met until 2018. In August 2018 Jeremy Snyder took over as host. From 2018 to 2020 the group met upstairs in the Oddfellows Hall of San Pablo Lodge #43 downtown. One show took place on February 27, 2020 at the Empress Theatre. With the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic, the group moved to Zoom in August 2020, meeting online every Thursday.
