Former Vallejo Poet Laureate D.L. Lang will read poetry at 5:30 PM on March 3rd at this upcoming event.

Announcing the first ever Solano County Jewish community art event at the Vallejo Naval & Historical Museum, titled: The Jewish People—Stories, Voices, Visions, a Multi-Media Art Exhibit. It opens on Sunday, March 3 and closes on Sunday, March 24. 734 Marin Street in Vallejo.

Opening day on March 3 begins at 3 pm and features an exhibit of (mostly) Solano County artists, collections from Chabad of Solano County and Congregation B’nai Israel, engaging presentations, poetry, delicious food—even a Children’s Area—and the evening concludes from 6 to 8 pm with a powerful film, Who Will Write Our History, and panel discussion.

Closing Purim celebration on Sunday, March 24, from 1 to 6 pm. Event poster which features the art of Naomi Stein Cooper (ceramic sculpture) and Karen Pierce Gonzales (fibre & thread).
