Paul Corman-Roberts is the author of ´Water for the House of Yes,´ forthcoming from Nomadic Press in 2020. He has previously authored the chapbooks´We Shoot Typewriters,´ ´19th Street Station´ and ´Notes From an Orgy.’ He is an original founder of Oakland´s Beast Crawl Literary Fest and teaches poetry with the Older Writerś Lab and the SF Creative Writing Institute.

Juanita J. Martin is Fairfield’s first poet laureate, 2010-2012. She’s also a freelance writer, and performance artist. Her poetry book, The Lighthouse Beckons, was accepted into the Solano County Library. Martin’s next volume of poems, Quiet Intensity, is due out in 2019. She’s published in Blue Collar Review, SoMa Literary Review, and others. Juanita is active in Ina Coolbrith Circle, and Benicia First Tuesday Poets. Juanita was also a longtime member of Redwood Writers from 2007-2017.
Juanita is listed with Poets & Writers Directory of Poets. She often reads for the Beat Poetry Festival and 100 Thousand Poets for Change. Juanita has been a featured reader with Healdsburg Literary Guild, Petaluma Poetry Walk 2007 & 2016, as well as Berkeley Poetry Festival. Aqueila M. Lewis-Ross is a multi-talented, award-winning Bay Area Native well-versed in singing, poetry/spoken word, and journalism. Aqueila is a graduate of Napa Valley College, University of California, Berkeley, has studied and performed throughout the United States, Europe, and Japan. Her work has been published in numerous magazines, newspapers, and anthologies including: Reflections: A Collaboration Between Painting and Literature, Women in the Feminine: Stepping into Our Shoes, Our Stories Will Never Die: Ancestors, Place, and Memory, and Standing Strong: Japantown and Fillmore. Her book of poetry, Stop Hurting and Dance, published by Pochino Press, is a collection of stories overcoming fear, oppression, gentrification, and police brutality; she honors what it means to live with resilience, love and prosperity. She is a radio news producer on Peralta Community Radio 96.9 FM KGPC, holds the titles of Ms. Oakland Plus America 2014, SF Raw Performing Artist of the Year 2015, and was an Oakland Voices-KALW Community Journalist awardee in 2016 and Greater Bay Area Journalism Awardee in 2017.

Tom Stanton

Tom was born and raised in Los Angeles.
His mother was an artist.
His first father was a muralist.
His second father was a bandleader and screenwriter.
His paternal first grandfather was an architect.
His paternal second grandfather was a sea captain.
His maternal grandfather was professor of English at Stanford.

Tom is a multi-talented artist, a fine-arts painter, photographer, a videographer, a mystic, and a poet.
Tom became a poet and artist within the ‘conceptual art movement,’ from 1967 to 1977.
Tom holds degrees in ‘critical theory’ and ‘media arts’.

Tom is the current poet laureate of Benicia, California.

D.L. Lang is the current Poet Laureate of Vallejo, California. She is the author of eleven books, one spoken word album, and the editor of Voices, Visions, & Voices of Vallejo. Her poems have been anthologized the Benicia First Tuesday Poets anthology Light & Shadow, Marin Poetry Center Anthology, Vol. 21, and in A Poet’s Siddur: Friday Evening Liturgy through the Eyes of Poets. Her work has also been published in the Benicia Herald, Jewish Journal, Poets Are Heroes Magazine, and on ReformJudaism.org. Lang has been a featured act at several events and poetry shows across the bay area. She has won ribbons and rosettes at the Alameda, Marin, San Mateo, and Solano County Fairs. Her poems have been transformed into songs, liturgy, and used as a means to advocate for causes.
